Ebony Lamb writes with a poetic voice and a vivid, surrealistic intimacy, turning the minutiae of everyday life and the defining memories that stay with us into a rich melange of indie-folk-jazz-alt-pop. The New Zealand born now Tokyo based artist has earned an enviable reputation amongst her contemporaries and music fans alike, for her dynamic performances and prolific songwriting.
Ebony Lamb, one is of New Zealand’s finest singer-songwriters produced by two of New Zealand most prestigious artists Bic Runga and Kody Nielson (Silicon, UMO) and released on Nadia Reids boutique label Slowtime Records.
Drawing comparisons to Gillian Welch, Cat Power and Neko Case, Ebony released three critically-acclaimed albums with her former band Eb & Sparrow in Wellington New Zealand before embarking on a solo career under her own name and a progressive musical direction.
